Eric Bischoff and Paul Heyman Set To Take Over WWE TV
The WWE must be feeling pressure from FOX Sports and The USA Network because WWE told Sports Illustrated today that Eric Bischoff and Paul Heyman will be taking over WWE TV for the foreseeable future.
An official announcement from WWE is expected later today, but the some details are already out. Paul Heyman will be over Raw and Bischoff with take over Smackdown. It was reported that Vince will still have the final say for both shows, but that Eric and Paul would be given creative freedom.
This is very interesting, but not that shocking considering AEW has been gaining major momentum. WWE has been “left in the dust” in recent months as AEW has been tearing up the industry. What is also interesting is the fact that the leader of the WWE, the leader of WCW, and the leader of ECW are all working together in way we haven’t seen yet. Yes both Eric and Paul have worked for Vince and also held high positions, but from the sounds of it, they are more of partners now and less off Vince telling the other two what to do.
Stay tunes for more.
